2004 Yamaha R1 in Kingsway, Derbyshire for sale

2004 Yamaha YZF-R1 Very good condition - highly maintained and very very ... reluctant sale (only selling due to being made redundant and to fund a career change to motorcycle instructor) this bike has had extensive work done recently by myself which includes Castrol engine oil and filter change K+N Re-useable performance air filter fitted new spark plugs removed radiator and flushed - refilled with high quality anti freeze /coolant removed front forks - drained/cleaned - refilled with high quality fork oil removed std steering damper - drained / cleaned - refilled with higher weight oil - to stiffen slightly as no adjustment on std unit steering head bearings re greased wheels removed - dipped and powder coated white - this included new bearings throughout new EBC prolite brake discs and pads -front and rear - originals included in sale goodridge braided hoses fitted - originals included brake calipers removed and cleaned (this is something i do every few months) higher rated racing brake fluid throughout (higher boiling point and no brake fade) new trak tech adjustable stubby levers - originals included new gold chain and std sprockets - have kept original sprockets as in good condition new battery - have original as still serviceable just old new alarm fob battery - just thought - why not!! removed swing arm - cleaned / re greased removed shock and linkages - cleaned / re greased removed cat - cleaned / decoked removed exup valve - cleaned /decoked - re greased with high temp / high grade grease mini indicators front and rear - originals included also fitted with datatool system 3 alarm immobiliser datatool gear indicator indicator alarm system - red l.e.d flashes quickly and emits loud beeping if indicators are left on for more than 30 secs anti slip mat on pillion seat - easily removed but stopped my daughter sliding around smaller number plate - original supplied - all aftermarket white decals fitted are easily removed with a heat gun or hot hair drier when i bought the bike in 2009 from skellerns of cheltenham the clutch was slipping so it was replaced under warrenty. comes with all three original keys and documentation - lots of receipts to prove work done - bad points - few minor marks/ slight marks on mirror back/ ball end snapped of stand - may need tyres in a few thousand miles - racetechs fitted/ loads of grip/very soft but dont last very long- i prefer the grip over shelf life it recently went through the mot with zero advisories and will make someone very happy - if your looking for a bargain this may well be it - with all the work done its unlikely that you will have any expense later - however this is not cheap and im sure you can find many cheaper R1s on here. this is my pride and joy and it wants for nothing. much of the work carried out would be due at a later date but i wanted to keep her in the best condition i could - please feel free to contact me on 3 (Barry) if you have questions as im rarely at the computer
